Happy Birthday Brooklyn!

A couple weeks ago Brooklyn turned one and yesterday we had a family BBQ to celebrate.

It has been amazing to see this little girl learn and grow over the last year. She had a rough start coming into this world but is as tough as nails now, thanks to her bother! She is all girl, including her attitude, and has been so different from Carter in every way.  She'll play with any toy but loves her babies and gives them the cutest hugs. She hates the car and cries the whole time if she is too tired. She loves her mom a little more than  her dad, which was not Carter at all! She is a pretty happy girl, other than times of torture from you know who, church and  of course teething. She has the same laugh Carter did and sleeps on her stomach with her butt in the air just like he did too! She loves food and her favorite way to let you know she is hungry is to cry and pound on the refrigerator. The best part about having a second child is watching the relationship between siblings. It is so fun to watch Carter and Brooklyn playing together, laughing at each other and protecting one another. Some days those experiences are rare but when they happen it is the best feeling as a mom! We feel so lucky to have this little girl in our lives and can't wait to see who she will become!
