This year Chad and I celebrated our 9th anniversary hiking in Zion National Park and hanging out for a few days in St. George.
St. George Temple We camped one night at the Zion River Resort just outside of Zions. It was my kind of camping with bathrooms, showers and a swimming pool! We used Carter's tent which couldn't possibly be a 2 man tent like it said but had a fun experience anyway.
Our first trail was Angel's Landing. This is looking up from the bus to the top where the trail ends. It took us 3 hours up and back. It was a fun hike but the last 1/2 mile was a little scary! There are literally a few feet between you and the edge of the cliff. One girl was crying, holding on for dear life. One girl turned around and didn't finish but we made it all the way and I was so relieved to get back down safely! The kids love the zoo and this year was even more fun because of all the life size, robotic dinosaurs. Carter had to find them all and snap a picture. T-ball is Carter's new favorite sport. As opposed to his previous sports where he took a million drink breaks or picked grass in the field and played with his friends, he took T-ball really seriously! This year Chad talked me into running a 5k in Springville. It was actually really fun considering I don't like running. The kids had fun being pushed but Carter wanted to run the last part which was a lap around the high school track. Everyone lines the track and cheers on the finishers, he thought is was pretty cool! The best part was it was sponsored by Nestle and we got to have all the free ice cream, granola bars, fruit and water we wanted after.
Welcome to our blog! Our family resides in Utah. Chad is currently working as an X-ray and Cat Scan tech. I stay home with our two kids, Carter and Brooklyn. We don't live a very glamorous life but we're glad you stopped by to check it out!
